If the government is committed to peace in the region, we will be
ready to talk -OLF Leader Mr. Dawud Ibsa
Oromo Liberation Front Chairman Dawud Ibsa said the Oromia
Regional State is ready to talk peacefully in the region we are ready to talk.
Oromo Liberation Front Chairman, Dawud Ibsa said that the OLF has been negotiating with the
Ethiopian Government for four months after entering the country illegally.
According to Dawud, it is believed that the OLF, who have been
transformed from the country, believes that the Oromo people, especially the
youth, are a sacrifice. He also said that the change has taken place in a
democratic state and that the people have the power to make the people elected
by the Electoral Representative. During the past 27 years, there has been a war
between the Ethiopian government and the OLF, but now the EPDRF has agreed to
take the change and move to a war.
According to Dawud, he has been working in the security forces,
the police and the regional police, while he has promised that the security
situation in the state will not be a political party.
Dawud Ibsa said that, the
OLF army has agreed to include a security structure and to establish its
committee. At the moment, however, he is in contravention of the agreement with
the government, he said. OLF forces are in the process of refusing to visit
members of the leadership.
Still, the government is
ready to talk to with us, which is
determined to maintain peace in the region we are ready to discuss, chairman
Dawud said. Regarding electoral elections, Dawud Ibsa said: "We want to
continue the next election.
