Oromo political parties to form a common forum


The opposition parties in the Oromia Regional State have decided to formulate a common forum. This is explained when the Oromo People's Democratic Party (OPD), the Oromo Federalist Congress (OPC) and the Oromo Liberation Front are jointly presenting this day. The joint statement was also attended by OPD Vice Chairperson and Oromia Chief of Staff of the Oromia Region, Dr. Merara Gudina and Chair of OLF, Mr. Dawud Ibsa. He said that the party has made a decision to establish a forum for Oromo political parties, and said that the party will be able to form a regular dialogue.It is also acknowledged that if there is a problem among the parties, it will be able to address the problem and resolve the dispute.

OPD deputy chairman and head of the Oromia Regional State, Lema  Megersa, added that the government is working to enforce the rule of law, demanding political parties and people support.The Oromia Regional State is in the process of clearing the land according to Ato Lema, political parties or the public should be keen to be watchful.It is important to stand aside together to address the problems that are occurring, "he said. Chairperson of the Oromo Federalist Congress (OPC), Dr Merara Gudina on his part said that the success of the present victory is a highly satisfactory offering, and that the participation of the youth and the people should be strengthened.

Dr Marrara said that the difference between the political parties should be resolved through dialogue. OLF Chairperson, 

Dawud Ibsa, said that the issue of the problem could be solved by consolidating unity.It is important to work together to protect the interests of the people, "he said. Dawud said that while the government respects the rule of law, we also take responsibility.
